Head over to ALA's Techsource blog to read a couple of interesting posts regarding library catalogs ... articles cover usability and functionality of many of today's library catalogs. For example, why is it that I can't maintain a history of my checkouts (only of items I select, this wouldn't happen automatically) at my local library? This would help me remember series I've read, authors I like/dislike ... perhaps it could even notify me when a new book by a favorite author is out ... kind of like Amazon!
