Sample Database Projects

Customize HR Database
PROJECT OBJECTIVE:
Client required a database to manage applicants and projects for a Human Resources temp agency. They had previously contracted with another developer who had left some of the functionality out of the project, rendering it unusable.

SOLUTION:
LCM Research, Inc. reviewed the existing code in the database, and developed a plan to improve and fix the database. We were able to reuse some of the existing code in the application, saving the client time and cost over a complete rewrite. This application has now been in use for over 10 years, and helps the client better manage their business.

Develop Manufacturing Tracking Database
PROJECT OBJECTIVE:
Our client had contracted with management consultants to improve their manufacturing processes and efficiencies. Due to incompatibilities with their existing mainframe system, they were unable to develop an application that would track key manufacturing criteria in a timely manner.

SOLUTION:
LCM Research, Inc. developed a customized data-entry and reporting application that allowed users to enter end-of-shift performance information into a centralized database, allowing supervisors and managers to view performance data the same day. This system helped the company improve their manufacturing processes, saving them significant amounts of money.
